An adaptation of the prose & poetry of author Raymond Carver and his wife Tess Gallagher. The story chronicles the final year of Carver’s life when he was struggling to finish his final book. This two-person play is a co-production with Chicago’s City Lit Theater.

Mark Richard is an American actor, director and playwright. In addition to his work as a performer he has adapted and directed the works of many classic and contemporary writers including Charles Beaumont, Toni Cade Bambara, Donald Barthelme, Martha Bergland, T. Coraghessan Boyle, Raymond Carver, Raymond Chandler, Ellen Douglas, Tess Gallagher, John Clellon Holmes, Franz Kafka, Garrison Keillor, W.P. Kinsella, Melissa Lentricchia, Somerset Maugham, Frank O’Connor, Damon Runyon, Saki, Richard Selzer, James Stephens, Annabel Thomas, John Updike, W.D. Wetherell, and Edith Wharton. He also directed the revival of Sharon Evans’s Portrait of a Shiksa for Live Bait Theater, Chicago.
