Type: Text

Georgia Christou’s debut play Yous Two is a drama about a father-daughter relationship, teenage aspirations, and the difficulties of being a young parent. It was shortlisted for the Verity Bargate Award, and was first performed at Hampstead Theatre Downstairs, London, on 18 January 2018.

The play is set 'in the south of England', in the bathroom of a flat where fifteen-year-old Billie lives with her dad Jonny, thirty-six. Billie’s got big plans: to get her dad a job, sort out her grades, and live in a house with five bathrooms. But one reckless night threatens to undo all her hard work and derail her ambitions, and it proves much harder than she thinks it will be to get out.

The premiere production was directed by Chelsea Walker and designed by Rosanna Vize. It was performed by Ali Barouti, Leah Harvey, Shannon Tarbet (as Billie) and Joseph Thompson (as Jonny).
