Walter Matthau stars in the story of a climate scientist trying to balance romance and research. The piece is both serious and surreal as Matthau removes the “fourth wall” while addressing the show’s recording engineer.

Fay Weldon, CBE, is an English novelist, screenwriter and playwright. Born in Birmingham, England, she was raised first in Auckland, New Zealand until her family returned to London. After having first worked in advertising, she began to write for radio and television, before her first novel, The Fat Woman’s Joke was published in 1967. Since then she has written over thirty novels, seven short story collections and a number of stage plays, including Action Replay, Breakfast With Emma, Flood Warning, The Four Alice Bakers, Friends, The Hole in the Top of the World, I Love My Love, Knightley's State, Madame Bovary: Breakfast With Emma, Mixed Doubles, Moving House, Mr Director, Nana, Permanence and The Reading Group.
