Eliam Kraiem began playwriting at CalArts University in Los Angeles, where he won the Fourth Freedom Playwright Award and a grant from the Kennedy Centre. He has since gone on to be involved in the Sundance Theatre Lab and receive productions at Cherry Lane Theatre, Long Wharf Theatre and, for Sixteen Wounded, on Broadway. Living now in Los Angeles, he has continued to write both for the stage and the screen, with his first feature length film String Theory (which he also directed) premiering at the 2004 Santa Fe Film Festival.
