Robert Myers is an American playwright. The author of over fifteen plays, his work has been staged throughout the United States, and he has had one play, Drone Pilots produced by BBC Radio4. Myers has been a recipient of grants from both the Mellon Foundation and the MacArthur Foundation, as well as being twice a Fulbright fellowship recipient to teach theatre and playwriting in both Brazil and Jordan. Other plays include The Rape, The Dictator, Twilight Country, Unmanned, Rituals of Signs and Transformations (translated, with Nada Saab, from the original by Syrian playwright Sa’dallah Wannous), Baghdadi Bath, Painting Persia, Mesopotamia, Against My Heart, The Lynching of Leo Frank and Atwater: Fixin' to Die. He is currently on the faculty at the American University of Beirut.
