Mickey and Gina are a blue collar couple with the whole world ahead of them, until Tom’s drinking and Gina’s unrealized dreams tear them apart. Set against a backdrop of American history from the turbulent 60’s through the 80’s AIDS crisis, Northeast Local is a bittersweet journey through marriage, divorce, and its aftermath.

Tom Donaghy is an American playwright, screenwriter and producer. His plays have been produced throughout the United States in theatres such as the Goodman Theater, Lincoln Center Theatre and South Coas Repertory among others. For television, he created the series The Whole Truth for ABC. His work for the stage includes The Beginning Of August, Boys And Girls, The Dadshuttle, Down The Shore, From Above, Minutes From the Blue Route, Northeast Local and Portfolio.
